As per the constitution of the Broughton District History Group, one month’s notice must be given for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM will take place after the speaker/tea and coffee at the October meeting on the 10th of that month.
As you may be aware our Chairman Jim Nuttall passed away in July and Russell Jones has stepped to fill that role until the AGM when a new committee has to be elected. Russell will carry on as chairman unless another member is willing to take over that important position.
Also, Phil Coops is retiring as secretary and Thelma Williams the treasurer is looking to do the same. So, the top three committee posts are becoming vacant and enthusiast members are invited to look at filling these posts so that the group can continue to grow.
Also, just a quick reminder that your annual subscription is due at the September meeting.
